MULTAN: Infuriated protesters set ablaze Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan bus and blocked the road after a boy was crushed to death by the varsity bus.
According to reports, the university bus hit the boy at Bosan road, injuring him critically. The boy was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to injuries.
Hospital sources confirmed the death of the boy identified as Mohammad Shahzad.
Following the incident, the relatives of the boy blocked Bosan road and torched the university bus.
Shahzad was on his way to a welding shop where he worked when he was crushed to death. His family said he was their sole bread winner. “I want justice wailed his mother,” she said.
An FIR against the unknown driver was registered at the Bahauddin Zakarya University Police Station.
