COAS visits NWA, expresses satisfaction over op, TDPs rehabilitation

COAS visits NWA, expresses satisfaction over op, TDPs rehabilitationRAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif visited Tuesday North Waziristan Agency (NWA) and expressed his complete satisfaction over progress of concluding phase of operation in Shawal after spent the day with troops and tribesmen.
According to a statement by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS was briefed in detail by the formation commander about progress of ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb, return of TDPs and development/resettlement works initiated by Army in the area.
Acknowledging the clearance of 650 square KMs of an uncontrolled area in the final phase so far, Gen Raheel expressed his complete satisfaction over progress of concluding phase of operation in Shawal.
